Terrorists attacked checkpoints in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan, killing 15 police officers, local media say.
The Taliban movement organized the attack.
Earlier, it was reported that the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad would visit the capitals of Afghanistan, Qatar, and other countries in the region.
He will also meet with representatives of the Taliban.
