In Brussels, a charity installation got arranged at the St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral. Reuters reported the story.

Twenty thousand colorful origami were hung on the ceiling of the medieval temple.

The author of the art project is a Belgian designer and artist Charles Kaisin. His goal is to raise funds for Hospital Erasme in Brussels to continue his fight against COVID-19.

It was Kaisin's wish to send homemade origami from Hong Kong, New York, and Tokyo. In exchange for each bird, different companies put the money in the fund. A total of $ 119,744 was raised to help patients.

Charles Kaisin says he underwent heart surgery at this hospital, where they took good care of him.

"Therefore, I wanted to help them," he said.
