A 6.2 magnitude earthquake shook the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. Twenty-six people died, and hundreds got injured. Buildings are destroyed.
The epicenter was reported near the town of Majene, at a depth of ten kilometers from the Earth's surface. The disaster killed four people in Majene and injured 637 people. Three people were killed in the neighboring Mamuju district. Search and rescue operations are underway at the moment.
No tsunami alert was issued.
