Fifty-three people, including children and women, were taken in hostage by a group of armed men, TOLO informs. The head of the region Zia Hamdard says that after negotiating with the local and community authorities, nine people are released, while 44 remain in hostage. The negotiations are still in process.
The Daikud Province governor says that the Talibs are responsible for the act, though they do not admit it.
