"Armenia, as always, is ready for the process of normalization of relations with Turkey without preconditions, which is fixed in the program of the Armenian government. In this regard, we welcome the statement of the Turkish Foreign Minister on the appointment of a special envoy for the normalization of relations, and confirm that the Armenian side will appoint a special envoy to start a dialogue," he said.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that the two countries would also resume charter flights between Istanbul and Yerevan. At the same time, Çavuşoğlu stressed that Turkey is coordinating with Azerbaijan on steps to normalize relations with Armenia.

"We, together with Azerbaijan, are making intensive diplomatic efforts to establish peace and prosperity in the Caucasus region. We have coordination on all issues with Azerbaijan. The embassy may also open if Armenia learns lessons from recent events and prefers peace and tranquility. We will resolve this issue together with Azerbaijan," Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said.
