The first criminal case got launched in Kyrgyzstan over the spread of coronavirus. The country's anti-COVID-19 headquarters revealed the news about the case.
The suspect got arrested for violating the quarantine regime. As it turned out during the inspection, he already had coronavirus.
"Unfortunately, the detainee hid from his relatives, colleagues, and family members about the disease. Now he is at the observatory and is facing five years in prison after his recovery," the headquarters said.
There are 228 people infected with the virus in Kyrgyzstan, so far, with four patients dead.
