The Monash University and Alfred Hospital in Melbourne are working on artificial intelligence, which will detect superbugs.

The State Fund financed the project with $ 3.4 million. The tests will be performed at Alfred Hospital.

In addition to detecting superbugs, artificial intelligence will help physicians create an individual course of treatment.

"This project will allow us to understand how new technologies can be used to understand how superbugs infect humans and how they are transmitted to the hospital system," said one of the project's participating doctors.

Superbugs are bacteria and fungi that have become resistant to drugs, including antibiotics, during mutations.
