Azerbaijan will launch vaccination against the COVID-19 infection starting January 18, Shahmar Movsumov, Head of the Department of Economic Issues and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said.
The first phase of vaccination will include medical staff, people older than 65, and law enforcers engaged in anti-epidemic measures.
The persons above 65 years will subject to vaccination starting February 1.
The following stage of the vaccination will include people in risk groups, particularly those with chronicle respiratory diseases, diabetes, and overweight, with the people older than 50 years complaining at least one chronicle disease.
Employees of educational and social field, public transport, telecommunication, post, and bank sector employees will get the vaccine afterward.
