The government of Azerbaijan plans to stiffen quarantine measures from 14 to 16 June, according to the Operational Headquarters under the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.

Shopping malls are set to be closed and public transport stop operation. Restrictions will also be imposed on private cars with the exception of ambulances, emergency vehicles, and those owned by agencies that are permitted to move countrywide. Exceptions include vehicles owned by those attending their close relatives' funerals.

Additionally, citizens are forbidden to leave their houses from 12 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with special quarantine measures to be effective until 1 July 2020. 

A total of 315 coronavirus cases were reported in Azerbaijan in one day to bring the total tally to 8,191.
