Reuters report that the government of Belgium extends the state of emergency by eight weeks for the novel COVID-19.

Belgium declared the state of emergency on March 17. Leaving the houses and walking in the streets is banned for the population unless special needs covering visits of food and drug stores. Schools and universities are closed, businesses work in distance mode. All kinds of gatherings are prohibited according to the rules of the state of emergency. Police monitor the streets.

The Health Minister of Belgium made the announcement. Meggie de Block mentioned that the infection is on the rise and will reach its peak in the nearest period; after that, the restrictions will be gradually relaxed.
