In the United States, incumbent President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joseph Biden are fighting for the presidency.

Democratic candidate Joe Biden has 264 out of 538 electoral college votes, while Donald Trump has 214 votes. To win the election, a US presidential candidate needs a majority of the college votes - at least 270

More than 47 million voters voted for Joe Biden. According to Reuters, this is the largest number of votes cast for a presidential candidate in US history.

"We will win this race with a clear majority and with the support of the entire nation," said Joe Biden.

However, he also stressed that the election results are still unknown.

"So far, we can not unequivocally declare victory, but the numbers tell us that it has already been decided," said Joe Biden.

Besides, he noted that the vote-counting process would not stop.

"Your votes will be counted. It doesn't matter how hard they try to avoid it. I will not allow this," Biden said.

Donald Trump and his campaign headquarters are going to appeal the results of several states.

The incumbent US president is urging his supporters to make donations to fund future litigation. He also intends to use the collected funds to pay off debts related to his election campaign's organization.
