According to the government science advisors, COVID-19 is again spreading rapidly in the country; hence it is not recommended to release quarantine measures, writes Reuters.

According to Wellcome Trust Director and the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies Jeremy Ferrari, coronavirus is spreading too fast to lift the restrictions. He considers full-scale testing, and the low infection rate is necessary to lift the state of emergency.

John Edmunds, aa member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies supporting the government, said that lifting the quarantine regime contains certain risks and is purely a political step.

The number of infected people in Great Britain is 271,222; the virus killed 38,161 people.
