In January-February 2021, exports of Chinese products increased by 60.6% year on year, DW reports.
The rapid recovery was led by the fact that China produces many of the goods in global demand amid the coronavirus pandemic - medical equipment, face masks, laptops, and monitors for working at home and others.
The Chinese customs department noted that the rapid growth of Chinese exports was also facilitated by the economic recovery in the EU and the United States.
Imports to China in January-February also grew unexpectedly strongly: the growth amounted to 22.2% on an annualized basis.
Analysts had predicted an increase of only 15%.
