The COVID testing will be free for passengers arriving from high infection risk countries, writes DW.

According to the edition, in case of the ground transport border passing, the testing is possible in the checkpoints at the border, while for air passengers – at the airports.

The testing is also compulsory for the passengers arriving from the low-risk countries. These passengers can take tests at hospitals.

The infection spread indicator in Germany is significantly lower compared to the previous period indicators. The government fears that the indicator might raise at any moment as a result of foreign guests.

Reminder: Recently, the passengers arriving from the countries of high coronavirus risk countries were obliged to present the certificate justifying the virus-negative status; in other cases, they were placed in 14-day quarantine lockdown.

According to the last data, the number of coronavirus-infected people in Germany is 205,968, out of which 9,201 have died, and 190,400 have recovered.
