Those who catch the new U.K. coronavirus strain do not experience loss of taste and smell as frequently as those infected with its original variant, Sky News reports.

Patients suffering from the new COVID strain have symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, fatigue, muscle aches, and fever.

The U.K. coronavirus variant was detected in December of 2020.
