From September 1, the COVID-19 passport in Azerbaijan will become mandatory when visiting restaurants, major shopping malls, and hotels. The amendments were included in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, which deals with a special quarantine regime.
The new measures are mandatory for all citizens over 18. However, under the new amendments, at least 80 percent of government agencies must be vaccinated. This applies to medical institutions and pharmacies, as well as scientific and educational institutions.
In addition, obtaining COVID passports will be mandatory for all students.
