The German government’s decree came into force on expanding rights for those fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or having undergone a coronavirus infection, Deutsche Welle reports.

Starting May 9, curfews, restrictions on social contacts, and mandatory rapid tests, for example, for visiting non-food stores, hairdressers or museums, have been canceled for these categories of persons.

Upon returning to the country, if they return from countries with a high risk of spreading coronavirus mutations, they do not need to serve out mandatory quarantine.

However, vaccinated and infected citizens are still required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
