According to the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, during the day on November 8 and night of November 9, the Armenian armed forces' units fired at the Azerbaijan Army positions and human settlements in different directions of the front with various small arms, howitzers, and mortars.
According to the agency, the combat operations in the Aghdara, Aghdam, Khojavend, and Gubadli continued with intensity.
"The Armenian armed forces got seriously hit in the main directions of the frontline and were forced to retreat, suffering heavy casualties in personnel and military vehicles.
Many Armenian troops, one T-72 tank, one D-30 howitzer, one mortar, one military truck full of ammunition were destroyed and wrecked throughout the day.
Currently, combat operations are underway. The operational situation is under the control of our troops," the Ministry stated.
According to the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, the units of the Armenian armed forces fired at the Azerbaijan Army positions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border.
Starting from the evening of November 8 to November 9 at 00:50, Azerbaijani military units in the Tovuz and Gadabay districts were fired from Barda and Chambarak.
