Experts from the United Nations World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said that improving the weather conditions and warming does not give us the permission to calm down when it comes to fighting against the coronavirus.
"Laboratory studies of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, have provided some evidence that the virus lives longer in cold, dry conditions and under low ultraviolet radiation. However, these studies have not yet shown that meteorological factors directly affect the rate of virus transmission," the organization said in a statement.
According to preliminary data, poor air quality increases mortality from COVID-19 but does not affect the spread of the virus.
