According to the Daily Mail, a New Jersey man walking at a crosswalk with his dog was struck by a SUV and the dog led officers to its owner's home so they could alert his family of his injuries, authorities said.

The 64-year-old unidentified victim was walking his dog in the city of Fair Lawn at 6.33 pm at the intersection of Berdan Avenue and Sunnyside Drive.

The man was crossing the street when a 2006 Ford Escape driven by a 61-year-old man hit and critically injured him.

At the time of the accident, the victim did not have any identification on him and were unsure of who he was.

Luckily, his American Bulldog named Mr. Wrinkles was not injured and led authorities to his owner’s home about five blocks away.

Officers were able to notify the man’s family of the accident.
