According to CNN, the dog got placed in quarantine in Hong Kong after doctors identified it with Covid-2019.

The dog was handed over to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Wildlife.

"Hong Kong authorities placed a dog in quarantine after a mildly positive diagnosis of the coronavirus," the media reported.

The dog's owner reportedly had the coronavirus and healed afterward. The tests on the dog's oral, nasal, and rectal samples showed he was infected.

"The dog has no other symptoms," CNN writes.

There is no evidence that pets have COVID-19 or that they may be sources of human infection.

Specialists will monitor the dog and perform additional tests to find out if it has a coronavirus or if particles on its nose and mouth appeared because of the polluted environment.
