Service dogs will be used to detect people infected with COVID-19 in Poland, the local media reports.

"For the first time in Poland, hunting dogs will undergo an 8-week course with their trainers to identify patients with COVID-19 at airports," the statement said.

Scientists from the University of Wrocław supervise the training of dogs. Animals will be trained through biomaterials obtained from sick and healthy people and through coronavirus vaccinated and recovered individuals.

The first group includes Labradors and one English Cocker Spaniel.
