President Trump invoked emergency powers Friday, declaring a national emergency over the coronavirus outbreak, which will allow more federal aid to flow to states and municipalities, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"I am officially declaring a national emergency," the President said during a news conference in the Rose Garden. "No resources will be spared, nothing whatsoever."
Following the President's order, 50 billion dollars will be allocated to combat the novel virus, with this making possible to build hospitals, and fund medical research aiming at designing a coronavirus vaccine.
The number of the infected has hit 2053, with the death toll reaching 41 in America.
