EMA authorizes vaccination with various vaccines

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has issued a report on the legality of the use of additional, so-called booster vaccines, which are different from the vaccines with which the person was first vaccinated. The information was published on the EMA website.

There is talk that people can be vaccinated with different vaccines.

"Vaccine heterologous research data suggest that a combination of viral vector vaccines and mRNA vaccines produces good antibodies against COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) and produces a more active T cell response than vaccination with the same drug (homologous), whether this is the main course, or the booster vaccine. Homologous regimens generally work well," the EMA said.

The EMA and the ECDC have called on all Europeans to complete the full course of vaccination in accordance with the latest recommendations for the use of booster vaccines.
