"Without Turkey's support, the European Union cannot maintain its power amidst new challenges," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
In his words, the EU has faced such problems as the refugee crisis, Islamophobia and xenophobia, financial insecurity, Brexit, and the coronavirus pandemic.
"The European Union needs new approaches and structural transformations, especially in the decision-making mechanism ... It is obvious that without the support and contribution of Turkey, the European Union will not be able to maintain its power," Erdogan said.
He added that Ankara is ready to help the European Union in solving problems.
