EU countries switched to wintertime

The European Union countries switched to winter time at 2 AM on Sunday, October 25.

The clock hands were moved one hour back, DW reports.

Since 1996, the European Union has a standard rule for switching to winter and summertime.

The clock hands are set forward one hour on the last Sunday in March and one hour back on the last Sunday in October.

Besides, individual European countries began the transition to summertime much earlier than the entire union.

However, from 2021, each European country will decide to switch to these times or not individually.
