The countries of the European Union are gradually returning to a normal lifestyle, Deutsche Welle reports.

In Germany, from May 9, restrictions will no longer apply to people who have received a complete vaccination or have had a coronavirus infection. For those who are fully vaccinated or have been ill with COVID-19, restrictions on social contacts will be lifted, curfews will be lifted, and there will be no need for express tests that are mandatory for visiting non-food stores hairdressers, or museums.

More than 30% of the population received at least one coronavirus vaccine in Germany.

Bars and restaurants have reopened in Greece since May 3, although they are restricted. You can only serve customers on the street, and staff will have to take coronavirus tests twice a week and wear protective masks. Tables should stand at a distance of two meters from each other; no more than six people can sit at one table. Bars and restaurants will be open until 23:00, after which the curfew comes into force.

From May 15, tourists who have received both vaccinations against coronavirus or who have a negative test for COVID-19 with them will be able to enter Greece again without the need for quarantine.

From May 3, France began to weaken quarantine. From May 19, open terraces in cafes, bars, and restaurants will start working again, the beginning of the curfew will be postponed from 19:00 to 21:00.

Italy is also gradually easing the quarantine conditions. In regions not so badly affected by the pandemic, open terraces in restaurants and bars are reopening. The curfew begins at 22:00. Museums and cinemas are opening. Since May 3, the Vatican Museums have resumed their work.

Until mid-May, along with the need for a negative PCR test or antigen test, the requirement of a 5-day quarantine remains for all those entering Italy. After May 15, the so-called national green vaccination passport will be introduced in the country, which will subsequently be replaced by a European green card certifying the presence of immunity to coronavirus.

Bars and restaurants reopened in the Netherlands, but only during the daytime - from 12:00 to 18:00. The country's curfew has been canceled.

The Czech Republic is also gradually returning to everyday life. From May 3, retail trade resumed there, and markets began to operate again. More than 18% of the country's residents received at least one coronavirus vaccine.
