A team of scientists from the city of Shanghai, China, created a textile that can perform display functions. These textiles are made from transparent fluorescent fibers.
In the laboratory, scientists were able to produce textiles that are six meters long and 25 centimeters wide. Its brightness is stable even when bent and stretched. The technology allows larger monitors to be created as well.
A micro-ampere source is used for screen power. Scientists have noted that washing the textile where the screen is placed is possible without losing its functional properties.
