On the background of the coming 2020 presidential elections, Facebook might supposedly ban political ads’ placement in the social web, writes Bloomberg based on reliable information.
Reportedly, the ban might cover only a part of political ads, since according to the new policy, Facebook condemns the so-called fake news.
The Agency says the ban is yet under discussion. From one side, it will protect the electorate from the attempts to mislead them, and from the other side, the Facebook administration is concerned about the ban’s possible adverse effect of the ban on the presidential campaigns.
In June, the social net founder, Marc Zuckerberg, said that in the frames of the new policy, Facebook gives the possibility to customers to switch off the access of uninteresting information.
Reminder: big companies are already several weeks in the boycott regime with Facebook. They refused to place their ads on Facebook pages and call on the company to prohibit the words of hatred in their pages.
