February 11 marks the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
This year, the Scientific Assembly dedicated to the sixth International Day of Women and Girls in Science "Beyond Borders:
Equality in Science for Society" will be held online at the UN Headquarters.
According to the United Nations Women, currently, women make up only 30 percent of scientists, and the pandemic has created more barriers to women scientists' advancement.
February 11, 2015, was declared as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science by the UN on December 22, 2015.
