The first case of human infection with the H10N3 strain of bird flu has been detected in the eastern province of Jiangsu, Reuters reports based on the country's health commission.
The infected is a 41-year-old man with a high fever and other flu symptoms. He was taken to hospital at the end of May.
Now his condition is stable, and he will leave the hospital soon!
However, it is still unknown how the patient became infected. His contacts did not confirm the virus.
This is the first time a person has been infected with H10N3.
