Several French cities are facing tougher lockdown measures because of the spread of the virus, health minister Olivier Véran has said, The Guardian reports.
According to Reuters, Véran warned that, in particular, the Mediterranean city of Nice and its surrounding region will require further measures to curb the contagion, with a decision due to be taken this weekend.
France ranks sixth under the rate of Covid-infected. Starting the outbreak, 3,560,764 people got infected with the virus, with 83,964 died.
