French Foreign Minister: Paris must take neutral position in the Karabakh conflict

The Foreign Minister of France, Jean-Yves Le Drian, thinks that the country should maintain a neutral position when it comes to the Karabakh conflict as one with the mediator's status. The Minister made this statement while addressing the deputies of the French National Assembly.

"The OSCE mission demands Russia, the United States, and France to take a neutral position. It is not right for us to take the side of one or the other of the two countries," said Jean-Yves Le Drian.

Last week, more than 170 French mayors, lawmakers, and senators called on the government to support Armenia on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
