According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, German authorities are expelling two Russian embassy employees from the country.
The decision is related to the murder of Georgian citizen, Zelimkhan Khangoshvili in Berlin.
The statement also notes that Germany reserves the right to adopt new measures if Moscow does not cooperate with the investigation.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Germany may impose sanctions on Russia over Khangoshvili's murder.
Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary for the President of Russia responded to the article denying Russian connection to the killing and called the accusation groundless.
