In Germany, the fine for violating the rule of mandatory wearing of masks in public places and in transport, introduced to prevent coronavirus spread, has been increased to 250 euros, the local newspaper Bild am Sonntag reports.
The proposal to increase the fine belongs to the Prime Minister of Bavaria Markus Söder.
The publication notes that if the government does not take additional measures to prevent the spread of infection, Germany faces a second full quarantine.
The latest data say 322.9 thousand people have been infected with the coronavirus in Germany, with 9.6 thousand dead.
