As Johns Hopkins University data have it, new coronavirus has infected a total of 1,000,168 people worldwide and killed 51,354.

The first novel virus cases were confirmed in the city of Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. The WHO was notified of the first coronavirus cases on 31 December.

The virus spread rapidly throughout China and the world later, with 26 countries being infected at the end of January. A total of 202 countries were infected in the end.

The US tops the world with its 236,036 coronavirus cases, Italy ranks the second with is 115,242 cases, followed by Spain, with its 110,238 infected.

The first case was confirmed in Georgia on 26 February.

Georgia has so far recorded 134 novel virus cases.
