The deadly bug has killed more than 450,000 people worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. A total of 8,391,551 coronavirus cases, 450,137 deaths, and 4,102,427 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US is still the hardest-hit country, with its 2,173,256 cases, and 117,972 deaths. Brazil follows the US, with its 955,377 cases, and 46,510 deaths. Russian proves the third worst-hit country, with 560,321 infected, and 7,650 deaths. 

The WHO labeled coronavirus a pandemic on 11 March. The first novel virus cases were confirmed in Wuhan, China in December of 2019. The infection rapidly spread throughout China and the world afterward. By the end of January, the epidemic has been spread in 26 countries.
