Head of Pfizer names the end of the pandemic

The CEO of Pfizer, a company that makes the coronavirus vaccine, has announced the end of the pandemic on ABC.

He said humanity would return to normal life within a year after the end of the pandemic.

"I think we can go back to normal life. I do not think it means that new strains will not emerge," Albert Bourla said.

However, the head of Pfizer says that normal life would be impossible without vaccination.

"We will have vaccines, the effect of which will last for at least a year. In the most likely scenario, we are talking about annual revaccination," Bourla said.

He said that in the near future, the American regulator would be given the data of the research conducted by the company on children aged 5-11. The company said the study confirmed the safety and efficacy of its vaccine for this age group.

The Chief Executive Officer of Moderna Therapeutics, Stéphane Bancel, who produces the coronavirus vaccine, said the COVID pandemic would end next year.
