"Armenian Genocide against Barda, Azerbaijan: The death toll is approaching 20. All of them were innocent civilians," Hikmet Hajiyev, the Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration wrote on Twitter at the briefing.
"Cluster Smerch missiles have been used. We invite Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International to conduct an on-site assessment of such crimes of Armenia," he wrote.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, the death toll from the cluster bombardment of the territories of the city of Barda by the Armenian Armed Forces has increased to 19, with more than 60 injured.
