"In January-June this year, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) issued 14 letters to people staying abroad and their relatives in Azerbaijan," said Ilaha Huseynova, the head of the public relations department of the ICRC in Azerbaijan.
The ICRC official said that search inquiries were collected, processed, and shared with the relevant authorities based on information received from the families of the missing.
She added that there are no detained Azerbaijani citizens in Armenia.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) conducted 182 operations in January-June this year as a neutral mediator to search for and retrieve bodies in areas affected by the recent fighting.
According to her, 283 samples of biological references were collected from 118 families of people who went missing in the 1990s.
