Ilham Aliyev elaborates on unblocking transport links

"Unblocking transport communications is in Yerevan's and Baku's interests," Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev said in his statement after the trilateral talks on Karabakh in Moscow.

"The statement which we have signed today shows our intentions, as one of the paragraphs in the statement adopted after ending military actions was unblocking transport links. This constitutes a field that can make the region's development more dynamic and strengthen its security since unblocking transport communications meets the interests of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, and our neighboring countries. I am confident that our neighboring countries will also be actively involved in building transport corridors and networks in the region," Aliyev said.

In the Azerbaijani leader's words, the parties are focused on results.

"Two months have elapsed after ceasefire, and the meeting of the three leaders in Moscow, who signed the 9-10 November statement, is a clear testimony that we are focused on results. This makes us hope that we will leave behind the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as Vladimir Putin once said. We must now think about the future and figure out how to live together," Ilham Aliyev declared.

Trilateral negotiations of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan were held in Moscow today.

Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia signed a joint statement on Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian leader Vladimir Putin released the information after a four-hour meeting with the two presidents.

The recently signed document focuses on unblocking transport links and forming the trilateral working group on Nagorno-Karabakh headed by Azerbaijani and Armenian deputy prime ministers and the deputy chairperson of the Russian government.
