"The dirty policy of Armenia is clear. Every time they lose on the battlefield, they resort to such deeds," said the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in an interview with Haber Türk.
According to him, cruelty towards civilized, unarmed people is a common occurrence for them. The Azerbaijani people saw this on the example of the Khojaly genocide.
"The Azerbaijani army is successfully conducting operations along the entire front line. It has liberated several towns and villages from the occupation. Our liberation operations are continuing successfully. According to the information provided to me this morning, the Azerbaijani army has achieved even greater success in this direction. An announcement will be made when the time comes," Aliyev said.
According to the President of Azerbaijan, Armenia had completely different plans.
"They thought they would take advantage of the ceasefire, reduce military defeats slightly, save time and mobilize new forces," Aliyev said.
Aliyev noted that Armenians failed to do so.
"Their calculations were wrong. I said that if Armenia does not show a positive approach, it will regret it, and I was right," said the President of Azerbaijan.
Ilham Aliyev stressed that Azerbaijan would fight against Armenia with even greater diligence and will.
"By showing even more diligence and willpower, we will liberate our lands. We will raise the Azerbaijani flag on all lands liberated from occupation," Aliyev said.
