President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev hosted OSCE co-chairs from different countries on December 12.
During the meeting, Ilham Aliyev said that the OSCE Minsk Group had not contributed to the Karabakh conflict resolution.
“A long time passed after our meeting last year. In this period, many events developed. First, the pandemic changed the situation globally. Besides, the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict altered the region.
Azerbaijan settled the conflict that lasted for about 30 years. It achieved this result through the use of force and political means. I agree with President Putin, one of the co-chairs, that the Karabakh conflict has already turned into history. I agree with him.
Unfortunately, the Minsk Group did not play any role in the conflict resolution, although it had the mandate for 28 years.
Azerbaijan resolved this issue. Having gained a victory over Armenia on the battlefield, we forced the invader to admit its defeat and sign an agreement that was Armenia’s surrender. All political forces in Armenia, except for its authorities, agree that this is a surrender, and they assess it as a humiliating surrender. The dictatorial regime of Pashinyan is all accountable and responsible for it,” Ilham Aliyev stated.
