Associated Press informs that India extends the state of emergency for two more weeks, until May, 31, to prevent the virus from spreading.

In parallel, the government will publish a roadmap on stages of releasing economic activities.

Air and rail transport will remain under lockdown until the end of May and in schools, hotels, restaurants, bars, trading centers, cinema halls, and churches.

In India, around 5,000 people have contracted coronavirus during the last 24 hours. The total number of infected people is 90,927; the death toll is 2,872.
