There have been 412 262 new cases of coronavirus infection in India during the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 21 077 410 people have been infected with the virus.
According to the Ministry of Health, the daily death toll has risen to a record high in the country, killing 3 980 people in 24 hours and bringing the total number to 230 168.
Medical experts believe that the actual number of cases is five or ten times higher than the official one.
India’s medical system is completely overloaded, and there are no more places at the hospitals. Therefore, to fight the pandemic, Indian doctors have already asked for the help of the military.
