Iran will pass the black box flight recorders from the Ukrainian jetliner to Ukraine. The information will be sent to French, Canadian, and American experts as well. The Iranian information agency Tansim provides the information.
Hassan Rezaeifer, the head of accident investigations for the civil aviation department, said it was not possible to read the black boxes in Iran, without elaborating. He said French, American, and Canadian experts would help analyze them in Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital.
The Ukrainian passenger jet was hit by Iranian military forces on January 8, causing the death of 176 people. The international pressure on Iran continues.
