Iranian President says third country's involvement in Karabakh conflict to exacerbate situation

"The involvement of any third country in the Karabakh developments will be an obstacle in the conflict resolution and exacerbate the situation. It is far from the region interests,'' Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told Russian President Vladimir Putin during a phone conversation.

Rouhani showed his concern over the involvement of some terrorist groups in the Karabakh conflict.

''The presence of terrorists may be dangerous for Iran, Russia, and the entire region as well,'' Rouhani said.

Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers held a meeting in Moscow last night and reached a ceasefire agreement.

As Azerbaijan later reported, Armenia violated the ceasefire regime and opened fire to Azerbaijani settlements early this morning.
