The Insider internet edition and German Der Spiegel held a joint investigation of a murder of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, citizens of Georgian in Berlin. The investigation revealed the second killer, who is a citizen of the Russian Federation, former FBI staff, Roman Demianchenko.

On August 23, 2019, a citizen of Georgia, the possible killer of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, Vadim Krasovski, was arrested in Berlin, though his possible ally is still wanted.

The Federal Procurator and Federal Office for Criminal Code of Germany got on the possible killer’s track in June 2020. Based on law enforcers, Der Spiegel stated that the killer is a citizen of Russia, Roman D., though the investigation doubted his real name.

On August 3, 2019, two weeks before the murder of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, Roman D. had cut the Belarus border to Poland with a false passport and name. On August 7, he arrived in Germany.

The investigation, conducted by The Insider and German edition Der Spiegel revealed that Roman “Davidov’s” real name was Roman Yuryevich Demyanenko.

According to The Insider, Roman Demyanenko was born in Moscow on December 4, 1980. He served in DBI until 2011.
