Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko was tested positive for coronavirus. He announced this on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian media say.
Klitschko added that he repeatedly visited the infectious disease boxes during hospital checks, in which doctors treated those infected with the coronavirus.
"The coronavirus crept up at the most embarrassing moment. Today I received a positive test result. I tried to be careful. Given the specifics of my work, I regularly did tests. Today's result, unfortunately, is disappointing. I feel good," wrote Vitali Klitschko.
He said that due to the infection, he went into self-isolation and would work at home.
