The country's main Christmas tree was lit in New York, Manhattan, near the famous Rockefeller Center.
Usually, the ceremony is attended by thousands of people; however, due to the pandemic, most of them watched the Christmas tree on the Internet.
The green beauty was brought from Norway, and up to 50 thousand LED lights were installed on it.
The Christmas tree will stay at Rockefeller Center until early January.
The ceremony was broadcast live on American television.
